Very informative blog post. A great synopsis of all the candidates - especially like that you did not simply focus on the two obvious frontrunners.

The present planning system is heavily weighted against local people. They have not the financial money to fight the Inspectorate and the corporate bodies who easily have access to expensive, experienced lawyers. WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR NEARLY 20 YEARS to preserve a field bought by the community and which we thought safely in the Cof E's care. Please look at our blog as listed above for details of our fight. it looks as if we are at the end of the road. A once, well used, field, a haven for wild life including bats, in a densley built up area, which will soon be even more so due to the Intensifiaction plans of Harrow and Wealdstone will soon be half built upon. A green field site is going despite Harrow meeting its housing targets. Why? This is the 3rd application. We failed to get it listed as a Town Green.
Sport England supports us to keep this playing field which will soon be too small for very much. It is needed where it is within walking distance of schools and children, no car needed but teh Inspector says there is ample room elsewhere in Harrow for sports. yes but can a small boy/girl reach it safely? So tit for tat- the Council can have part of the land if we allow flats and houses even tho' Harrow is meeting its housing targets. Can you help us in any way. The residents of Headstone who have lost petrol stations, pubs, and old houses to over 12 blocks of flats in as many years would be very grateful. The SE is under stress due to Gov. past policy. Help it NOT TO BECOME A PLACE WHERE NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE.

We need to ensure a legacy of sustainable employment and fitness. The Take Part programme was successful because it moved people from being ad-hoc volunteers into economically active citizens. Get people moving with BLTi.e.bums, legs, tums exercise rewarded with bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches, races for the children (hopping race, egg and spoon, obstacle course etc.) even dog races (one owner at each end of the course, cheering the animal on with the person at the end holding a tasty incentive). Sustainability begins with foundations; architecture and building materials must be "green".

Our organization would like to be part of any form of regeneration agenda in the city of London and its surroundings, in as much as it impacts the social and economic life of the people. Our focus would be on the policy agenda and implementation processes.
