1.00pm – 3.30pm, 23 March 2011
Venue: City Hall
The London Assembly holds the Mayor of London to account and investigates issues that matter to Londoners.
This event looked at the forthcoming changes to the powers and responsibilities of the GLA contained in the Localism Bill and the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill.
It offered participants an opportunity to hear how changes to the GLA will impact on the work of the London Assembly in its role as watchdog for London. Participants had the opportunity to hear from senior personnel about the work of the London Assembly and gain an understanding of how community and voluntary organisations can engage strategically and effectively with its work.
Participants were also invited to attend Mayors Question Time in the Chamber, from 10am, before this event.
