The fourth in our series of Listening events was:
Housing in London
Tuesday 14th February , 10.30am – 12.30pm
London Civic Forum,18a Victoria Park Square, E2 9PB
The aims of the events:
As the 2012 London elections approach, London Civic Forum hosted a series of Listening Events through which we compiled the key priorities of our members in a number of different policy areas. The aim of these events was to generate consensus on some of the key priorities for the Mayor of London. This document will then be shared with the mayoral and London Assembly candidates as well as providing a useful tool or benchmark which London Civic Forum and/or others can use to review work of the future Mayor
To ensure that the events are as focused as possible, we asked participants to come prepared with a few key priorities which they could put forward. In order to establish the tone for the meeting, attendees received a comprehensive briefing by email. The listening events began with a short presentation outlining the powers and responsibilities of the Mayor in his or her occupancy.
