LCF Appointed Regional Take Part Champion Programme

Following the success of London’s Take Part Local Pathfinders initiative in Southwark and Sutton, we are pleased to announce that London Civic Forum has been appointed to take forward the Regional Take Part Champion Programme.

Take Part is about active learning for active citizens and is about giving people skills and confidence to engage effectively.

Lorraine Roberts, Interim Director, said

'LCF has been involved in Take Part since its inception and is delighted to have the opportunity to promote this important Framework across the region. This programme compliments the Civic Forum’s aim of advancing the education of young people and adults within Greater London in democracy and in the practice and procedure of government to enable greater civic engagement.'

Take Part is a national programme which promotes active learning for active citizenship. In year 1, LCF will be working in up to six local authority areas to promote the Take Part approach to supporting community engagement, and to raise awareness of resources developed by the local pathfinders. In the second year, LCF will expand the programme to promote Take Part across the capital.
