How London Works

How London Works is a programme of events run by the London Civic Forum and funded by London Councils. The programme offers information about the politics, infrastructure, society and culture of the capital. It is designed to equip London's citizens with the tools for influencing the future shape of London.

Guidance is often needed to navigate the multi-level jigsaw that makes up London's democratic landscape. Therefore, the London Civic Forum has compiled a series of events and resources that will provide information about how to get more involved in London's political life. This series provides opportunities to access London's decision-makers and governing bodies, enabling those whose voices often aren't heard to make an impact.

So far, events have been held at Government Office for London, the Greater London Authority, London Councils, City of London, the London 2012 delivery agencies (ODA, LOCOG and the LDA) and the London Assembly. All have resulted in very positive feedback from both the participants and host organisations. London Civic Forum is in the process of organising further events, to be held in late 2009. Please check the Events section of this website for information about any upcoming events, or visit the Past Events section for details of past  How London Works events.
