The London Development Agency (in the process of closing)

The London Development Agency (LDA) is the Regional Development Agency for Greater London, the functional body responsible for the sustainable economic development of the capital. It works in partnership with the GLA, the public sector, businesses and the voluntary sector to provide business know-how to London’s businesses, promote London abroad and invest in public spaces. However, following the Government’s June 2010 announcement of the abolition of Regional Development Agencies nationally, the LDA will cease to exist by the 31st March 2012. As a result, the LDA’s priority is now to ensure the orderly closure and transfer of functions to the GLA.
